Šoustar, M. Key factors of the financial performance of business entities in the meat products production sector. Diploma thesis. Brno: Mendel University, 2023 The diploma thesis deals with the identification of key factors of the financial performance of business entities from the meat products industry in the context of the effect of a symmetrical economic shock on the territory of the Czech Republic. The main goal of the work is to propose such recommendations for these enterprises that will lead to an increase in economic performance. To fulfil the main goal, a situational analysis of the given industry was prepared together with comprehensive financial analysis of two selected companies, including a comparison with the industry. Key factors were determined using correlation and sensitivity analysis with change testing on industry data. At the end of the work, based on these results, general recommendations are declared for the areas of key factors aimed at positively influencing the economic performance of economic entities in the meat products production sector.

Marketing strategy of family-owned company

Meat industry has recently recorded a large and not very positive changes in its structure. These changes affected all companies in this field. The key factor how to be still competitive and strong player at this market is marketing. My thesis describes in detail parent's company called Jatky Hradský s.r.o., which is engaged in production of meat and meat products. This family-owned company is based in Strakonice, its business makes in Jihočeský region, where also buys local ingredients. A unique combination of local suppliers with final in-house production makes each product purely local product from Jihočeský region. The largest part of the thesis draws the establishment of proper and successful marketing strategy for the company Jatky Hradský s.r.o.

Processing plants (processing of animal products) in the Czech Republic - development in the years 204-2013

The thene of this thesis is to evaluate the development of the manufacturing industry in processing meat and milk. These include the development of slaughterhouses and dairies in the period 2004-2013. In the first part of the thesis deal with legislation related to European Union accession and conditions that follow from it. Another point of the study was to capture the trend of consumption of food - meat, milk, which is centainly the development of slaughterhouses and dairies referred to specific companies. Of all above facts, when it was assumed that despite the unfavorable start to the European Union, the slaughterhouses will wane, it is surprisingly contrary.

Examination of quality management system impact on competitive advantage in meat industry company

The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the quality management system of the company. On the basis of acquired information I carried out a quality management analysis of the company. On the basis of the results I carried out a new strategy for the company. I prefer implementation integrated management system which supersedes EN ISO 9001:2001, safety management system according to OHSAS 18001:1999 and environmental management system according to ISO 14001:2004. This part of my thesis includes an impact on competitive advantage.
